Strongly recommend for a short visit

Comfortable room, friendly staff, with the room being lovely and warm for a chilly evening and the breakfast in the morning being equally good.

Had a great time with friends. We explored local attractions and enjoyed relaxing in the lovely gardens. The staff were super friendly, and our room was clean and comfy. Dinner was a highlight—with a fantastic fish menu. Perfect spot for a getaway!

We just came back from a lovely two-night stay where the breakfast was simply delicious, especially the fresh local produce! The garden area was perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. The sun terrace had such a nice vibe. One small thing was that the pub menu had a few items priced a bit high, but it didn’t ruin the overall great experience. 😊

Had a lovely stay in a Deluxe King Room where the comfy bed made it hard to leave! The gorgeous garden was perfect for relaxing with a drink and the sun terrace offered a nice spot to unwind. The only hiccup was that we had to ask for extra towels, but it didn’t put a damper on our enjoyable visit. 😊

We had a great time with friends, exploring nearby attractions like the picturesque countryside and the local vineyard. The atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for hanging out. Just a heads-up , the service can be a bit slow during busy times, so plan accordingly. we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an instance where our reservation wasn't ready upon arrival, leading to a frustrating start to our evening. We had to ask multiple times for updates on our food, which took way too long.

The overall decor and ambiance were impressive, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. The spaciousness of my Superior Room and the excellent power shower in the bathroom were highlights of my stay.

The room view was slightly disappointing.

i stayed for two nights and was impressed by the serene atmosphere and beautiful grounds. the room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff provided exceptional service, making this visit much better than my previous one. overall, my experience significantly exceeded my expectations during these couple of nights.

Lovely countryside escape!

Spent 3 nights in a cozy room named Mistley, really enjoyed the huge comfortable bed and the power shower was a nice touch! The outdoor beer garden is beautifully set up. Had a fantastic meal with tasty flavors, but the pricey cheese platter felt like a rip-off. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout!

Exceptional service from the staff made our stay memorable.

We were disappointed that our room had not been adequately cleaned before our arrival.

I truly appreciated having such a delightful pub nearby to relax in after walking through beautiful Dedham Vale AONB, and the friendly staff made every moment enjoyable during my stay.

The decor at The Crown was a delightful blend of classic and contemporary styles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The garden areas were particularly lovely and accessible, offering charming spots to relax amidst the beautiful surroundings.

More seating options in the garden would be great.

The grilled chicken and prawns I had were incredible , perfectly cooked and presented. The dessert was a showstopper, a milk chocolate mousse that was worth every calorie.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but still acceptable for the quality we received.
